Minotaur Exploration has acquired the Highlands Project in north-west Queensland from Syndicated Metals for $125,000 cash and shares to the value of $275,000.

The company announced today that the purchase, covering nine exploration permits, had been completed.

The copper project tenements, covering 776sq km, are located 50km north-east of Mount Isa and 80km north-west of Cloncurry.

Minotaur said site establishment work was underway for electromagnetic surveys to proceed in August, with a 1200m drilling program of scout RC holes to commence in September.

The company has recently reported strong copper-gold results at its Eloise joint-venture project, 55km south-east of Cloncurry.
